Do I need to bring my own clubs?

It’s never a bad idea to practice with the clubs you plan to play with. We understand carrying clubs is no easy task. We have top-of-the-line TaylorMade men's and women’s clubs along with, kids’, and left-handed sets. Clubs are available for rent if you do not have your own set. If you need assistance bringing your clubs into VCC, let us know and we are happy to help.

 

Do I need to wear golf shoes?

Athletic clothes are preferable, but the most important thing is that you’ll be comfortable swinging a golf club. It’s a casual environment, and proper golf attire is not required. Sneakers or any rubber-soled shoes work well indoors and are recommended. If you prefer, feel free to wear your golf spikes. Dress shoes (or any shoes with a slippery sole) are not recommended.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Vail CC can be popular at times. We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies. Due to the limited space & availability, all tee times cancelled within 24 hours will be subject to the full hourly rate of time booked. Vail CC reserves the right to give away your simulator after 10 minutes and charge you in full. All reservations will be charged in full when booking.

 

Do you have food or drinks?

Come check out a variety of cocktails, beer and wine. Happy Hour from 4-6 daily with $1.00 off all beer and wine. We also have snacks and food available. We work with our nearby restaurants Fiesta Jalisco, Nozawa Sushi and Gondola Pizza. You may order and bring in food from any of these restaurants. VCC will add a small service fee for clean- up and disposal of any food brought in.

Do I need to book ahead or can I walk in?

We highly recommend booking ahead because we can’t guarantee an opening if you stroll into VCC, and we’d hate to turn you down. Plus, you’re a lot more likely to get the day and time you want if you book ahead. Please book online. The earlier the better.

 

How accurate is a TrackMan Golf Simulator?

The short answer: VERY. The instant transition of the golf ball from the real world to the virtual world makes you forget that you’re hitting indoors. Countless top professionals rely on this data to work on their game. TrackMan 4 measures and displays the full trajectory of any shot, from 6-foot pitches to 350 yard drives, pinpointing the landing position with an accuracy of 1 foot at 100 yards.

 

What if I’m a lefty?

That’s no problem. TrackMan Golf Simulators are equipped to handle righties and lefties, even if you’re playing a round together. Lefty clubs are also available for rent but on limited supply so please let us know before you show up. If you are left handed Simulator 2 has more room.

 

How old do you have to be to use a Simulator?

TrackMan is available for everyone in the family. We have rental sets fitting players as young as 4 years old.

Does VCC offer golf lessons?

YES, owner and PGA Class A Professional Kenny Thayer teaches lessons to players ranging from the first time beginner to the scratch golfer hoping to win the Club Championship. You can also set up a clinic with friends or just schedule a lesson to learn how to practice on TrackMan using the practice features, combine and shot optimizer. 

 

What courses can I play? Courses

TrackMan includes over 90 championship courses. Some of the most popular are Bethpage Black, Pebble Beach, Spy Glass, Royal Port Rush and the 4 legendary St. Andrews links courses. Many of the weekly tour stops are available to play, so it can be a lot of fun to play the same hole you just saw on TV. To see a full list. Click Here

 

What if I’m not a golfer?

At VCC you don’t have to be a golfer to play on one of our simulators. There are multiple fun interactive games like Capture the Flag, Hit It and Bullseye. These are great games and no experience is necessary.  We have 8 large TVs, full bar, cocktail table with 410 classic video games, and a Golden Tee to keep you entertained. Come relax in the lounge and see what it’s all about. There is no pressure, VCC is a great place for players of all abilities and ages.
